So what is the ideal travel first aid kit? Well, it should contain enough supplies to prevent illness and handle minor injuries, and manage pre-existing medical conditions for longer than the duration of your trip.

  • Gauze
  • Plasters
  • Bandages
  • Anti Septic Wipes
  • Band Aids

  • Insect Repellent
  • Eye Drops
  • Rehydration Salt

passports are essential to bring everywhere

Place a copy of your passport, I.D., visa, travel insurance, plain ticket in each piece of luggage, in case you lose the original documents. Don’t forget to leave a copy with a friend or relative at home! And for those who have kids to travel, check out “We Got Sidetrekked” website for more info on how to do it!

EMPTY TRAVEL MUG OR TUMBLERbring a mug or tumbler while on the road

Water usually costs a lot more at airports and hotels and I’m sure that you don’t want to pay for an overpriced water bottle, that’s why the best way is to bring an empty travel mug or tumbler and fill it up once you’re boarded and reach the hotel.

GRANOLA BARS OR CHOCOLATE BARSgranola and energy bars are great sources of snacks on the roadHaving your own travel snacks on hand is essential. For those time periods between meals and unexpected flight delays, having an easy to eat and tasty protein bar is a great way to sustain your energy and fight hunger.

bring a book to read

Time to bring your favorite novel with you! But only take one or two books, just enough to get you through the first few days. You can then discover new books during your travels. You can reduce bulk and weight of your luggage by choosing paperback over hardback books.

capture your ideas with a notebook and pen

You never know when you’re going to need a pen or a pencil. There are instances that you have to fill up something while you’re on a trip. And if ever you love taking notes related with the things that you see while travelling, a notebook is a must! Of course, you can input notes into your laptop or phone, but physical act of writing is different.

travel pillow is essential for good flight and bus travel comfort

A pillow for your travel comfort! Inflatable pillows are the most travel friendly option.

Jacket Gripper

bag gripper is great to have along

It is essentially a strap and a buckle that is attachable to your bag. Its purpose is to hold your jacket and keep your hands free. It also avoids you to lose your jacket because you might forget it somewhere else if you’re just holding it all the time!

bring a bag to put things in

This one can serve as your laundry bag when you travel, to keep dirty clothes separate from the clean ones. Instead of carrying a lot of plastic bags and paper bags, reusable tote bag is nice to use for shopping while you travel as well.

a power bank is essential to bring

Portable power banks are a lifesaver & are one of the best phone accessories in which you can invest. If you’re a traveler and have had your phone battery die in the middle of a great adventure, you know the struggle. After a few hours of emailing, picture taking, and navigating, your phone’s battery drained and there’s no outlet in sight. Luckily, you can now power your phone from your pocket by using power banks!

camera of course is important to bring on your trip

This gadget is a must have for travelers and if you don’t own one yet, you better buy now! Of course you can use your phone for taking pictures, but the question is how good your phone camera is. DSLR camera can capture high definition pictures which are Instagram and social media worthy! Ready your notification because for sure you’ll gain a lot of likes once you post pictures from this camera!

selfie stick is always good to bring

A monopod also known as “selfie stick” might be a good choice for you too if you’ve decided your phone is your primary camera for your adventures. Selfie sticks allow us to get a wider range of view around us. Most of the travelers use monopod whenever they’re alone because no one will take a picture of them. Another good thing about monopod is, it doesn’t added to much weight on your bag because most of them are small and foldable!

essential camera gear includes a gopro

Learning to take travel videos and photos using GoPro will change your life! It’s really perfect for adventurous shots, underwater footage and awesome selfies! Travel photos and videos with a GoPro have a little something extra, a little bit more excitement than your average travel photo. One of the features that you’ll love is its ultra-wide angle lens. It lends a unique perspective to ordinary shots and allows you to get way more of your surroundings. Most GoPro cameras come standard with a waterproof case (or the body is waterproof on its own) meaning you can take your GoPro out in wet weather conditions or if you’re out on the water where you wouldn’t risk bringing other cameras.

drone for your trip

Why you should bring drone on your next trip? It’s simply because you’ll able to take an amazing aerial footage and high definition view of your surroundings. You not just going to get a normal shot! You can lift the drone up to 100 feet and you’ll be able to see everything around you! You’ll be able to take videos in a whole new perspective!

Great Post. I would love to be able to afford a drone to take travelling one day. I’ll put it on the wish list!

I highly suggest it. It really makes a huge difference in the shots you are getting, and also one big thing that I had never thought of, is scouting out areas before you go there. We found some amazing beaches and access points by using the drone to give us a bird’s eye view of the area we would like to see.
