Back In The Saddle

Well, as you guys are all well aware, sometimes life gets in the way.  Or should I say, we allow other things to distract us from the focus or direction we are going.

That for me has been what has happened over the last couple years, with a new baby, no "job" as I have been a stay at home dad, covid and other life dilemmas that have seemed to have got in my/our way to keep this blog alive.  The funny thing is, I love doing this and enjoy the process of writing my thoughts down, as well as recording our adventures out and about.  I find that I had got too many things going at one time and none of them really took off because I didn't focus my time in on the one thing I wanted to blast off.......SensibleNomads.

Back in the saddle is a pretty bold statement in that to get back on that horse, you either had to get off, or fall off.  Either way you look at it, your not really holding the reigns any more and you certainly aren't guiding it to anything productive.

As a content creator, I love to try to get across the ideas, places, things and experiences that happen in our lives while we are out and about to give you a touch of what it's like in the life of us.  Sometimes this is easy, but most times it's difficult to portray that in a realistic way as so many creators "sugar coat" the truth about what they are doing and certainly how they got there.  I have to admit, it's a lot of hard work and you never really "get there".  For good reason to in my opinion.  My thoughts on it are pretty simple.  I don't want it to end and I also don't want to stop bringing you on our journeys, so, to "get there" isn't even in my radar.

Ok enough babbling about that stuff, let's talk shop...
I have decide to step up the game of recording and writing the blog as I have so much footage and have been presented an amazing opportunity by a friend that had recently graduated from film school and wants to hone his own skills.  To this, we will be embarking on a new journey together behind the lens and the computer screen to bring to you the next evolution of my content creation that I hope inspires you to get out and do the same!

Keep in mind, I have a family, we run a business and we have a life, so things are not straight forward as just jumping on a plane, in the jeep or with the truck and trailer hitting the trails.  A lot has to go into the planning and execution of a weekend, week long or month long trip.  This is where I want you to see the true process of my creations via vlogging styled videos and understand that there isn't a lot of gap between you and I.
BTW, I am hoping in the future to make a few videos on "how to" do this as well to hopefully give you the tools to "copy" what we are doing and do it as well if that's what you look forward to doing.  If not, sit back and enjoy what could be some pretty cool adventures I take my family on both here in BC and around the world.

Much Gratitude,
Ken
